Select the destination folder for DaVinci Resolve Dropbox export integration

Unfortunately, resolve only lets me set the destination folder in dropbox if I’ve got the dropbox folder structure installed on the computer. If I have that folder structure installed, then the integration isn’t doing anything for me anymore, as anything that lands in that dropbox folder will be automatically uploaded. Without the dropbox integration, I can export directly into my dropbox folder structure and it will upload.

It would be great if dropbox added the ability to choose which folder the integration goes to as dumping files in the home folder of the dropbox user isn’t very helpful.

Is there any way to add an individual watch or upload folder without adding my entire dropbox folder to the computer?

Hey ersheehan - thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on this with us.

Just to clarify, are you referring to the integration between Dropbox Replay and DaVinci Resolve

Also, when you're referring to a way to add an individual watch or upload folder, would you be doing this via the integration, the website, or locally on your computer inside your Dropbox folder and having the changes sync?

Let us know more and we'll take it from there.

Hey Walter. I am not attempting to use Dropbox Replay, but the simple Dropbox integration within Resolve, either from the quick export menu or the standard render settings menu.

I'd like to be able to choose the dropbox folder where the video is uploaded to. Right now it goes to my standard account folder and there is no way to change this. I'm attempting to set up a system for editors to share videos from Resolve directly to my dropbox on a machine I don't control where I don't want all of my folders accessible. It currently sends them all to my root folder, which is no good. I've got an automation setup to move them, but that is not a good long term solution.
