Imagine I want to move files nested 10 levels under root. I navigate down, I select them, I press Move. Now the android app is showing me the root folder, why? 99% of the time I want to move files somewhere near their original location. With your design I once again have to drill down 10 levels under root to find the destination for my files. Such a bad UX, fix it.38Views0likes1CommentI added my files to Dropbox via camera uploads and it deleted them from my camera roll.
It's been a while, but I don't know where to ask, so I'm writing it down ㅜ I'm inquiring again after giving up because there was no answer even if I asked the customer center on the drop box website. I think it was around the end of last year.. I was told to upload the camera while using the drop box, so I synchronized it and saw the size of the drop box getting bigger I deleted the camera upload file inside the drop box, but the photo and video file were deleted on my smartphone (iPhone)ㅜ This did not happen immediately, but I deleted the camera upload file in the drop box first About a month? Afterwards, the system update was going on on my smartphone (I wasn't updating it about 2 times) I was looking at the photos and videos and they were disappearing one by one in front of my eyes ㅜ I couldn't stop it... There was no file even if it went into the deleted file ㅜㅜ I tried to upgrade the dropbox pricing plan, but the camera upload file did not appear in the recovery list. ㅜ Is there any way...? Please help me ㅜ There are many precious files and pictures26Views0likes1Comment"Move (file)" should start in the current folder, not at root level in the mobile app on Android
I'm not sure if this is just the case with Android. But unfortunately, it has always been that way since I can remember. For moving 1 file "quickly" to a freshly created sub folder, a user needs to navigate the whole folder structure to get there...27Views0likes1CommentSorting of folder contents in the Dropbox mobile app on Android
I'm using Dropbox on my Android Samsung S22 Ultra. When I enter different folders there are different ways of sorting some in the upper right some halfway down to the left. I need to know how to have every folder display the newest content without taking any action every time I enter the folder. I broke up a dog fight between a 250 lb Leonberger and 125 lb Pitbull who were about to attack some children last year and suffered very serious spine and rotator cuff problems. The medicine I'm on Lyrica makes my short-term memory zero and thus the need to have everything sorted in every folder by the newest addition without having to change the sort method or take any other action. So I am trying to understand what has happened, and how to avoid it again (i'm assuming it is something I have done) I'm coding micro controllers for a project of mine (arduino IDE) and have about 100 versions of said program saved in my dropbox. Everytime I create a new version it creates a new directory with about 20 files for the program. All this programing is done on a PC. My phone is also connected to dropbox but only back's up images taken on my phone to dropbox. My issue is that a week ago my phone deleted 5 jpg files repeatedly from each of these 100+ program file directories. All 500ish images ( basicly 5 images representing battery charging indicator repeated in 100 seperate diectories) were deleted in about 2 minutes, so it's not something that could have been done manually in that time. My question is what happened and how do I make sure it doesnt happen again45Views0likes6CommentsCan I retain the original name of the file if it's uploaded through Camera Uploads?
I noticed that the file name for camera uploads will be automatically changed. Original file name: 20240330-164639 When uploaded to dropbox: 2024-03-30 16.46.39. Is there anyway to retain the original naming?158Views0likes3CommentsAdd Updating to the Android Dropbox app
I have a file that is listed as modified 2 weeks ago, but I modified it on a Windows computer and the update was listed there as completed. But on the Android device, it is listed as modified 2 weeks ago. I pulled down from the top of the Dropbox page and got a refresh spinner, but the file is still listed as modified 2 weeks ago. Developers, please do the right thing and give us an Update button or the equivalent functionality for Android. Once I successfully upload my photos to Dropbox from my Camera Roll on my iPhone and iPad, can I delete those photos - or some of them - from my devices (to free-up space) and if I do, what happens to them? Thanks!Solved280Views0likes4CommentsAfter signing a PDF on mobile, the file is locked in Adobe Acrobat on my desktop
Hello together, I have a problem since a few days: When I sign a PDF in my Dropbox on my IPhone I can't edit the signature later in my Acrobat Adobe on my desktop. It has a little lock icon now and I can't move it. Normal textboxes can be moved in the "Edit mode" of Adobe Acrobat, but not the signature. I am really desperate. Thank you very much for your help, guys!60Views0likes3Comments
