Hi! I need to force the Android app to re-upload all the photos in my gallery. I set it up so it uploads everything, not just new photos, but it will only upload new items. I believe it recognizes older pics as "already uploaded" and I don't know how to reset this. I have already: -re-installed the app -deleted the cache memory -deleted all files in the Dropbox camera upload folder -restarted the device -even tried from a new device with a different SD card but with the same files in it Still, Dropbox will only upload new files. I also tried manually uploading but due to the fíes being cover 1500, the app never stops processing the files and never uploads anything. I'm on Android 12 and no other apps are set toSolved7.3KViews1like96CommentsAfter the latest iOS mobile app update, my offline files have been re-syncing.
I upgraded to version 428.2 yesterday and now my Dropbox app always shows my offline files as queued for resync when I launch the app. I just tested it by syncing my files, then closing and relaunching the app and every entry in my offline list has that little blue circle with the white arrows. The files are still available so I guess it's not really re-downloading them? I'm hoping this is just a UI glitch.54Views0likes6CommentsSD Card to Dropbox upload question
If this is a basic question then we apologise, but we are confused. Having looked in the Help area we see that it says is possible to transfer files (in this case photos) from an SD card into Dropbox, using the mobile app on an iPhone. We are a wildlife conservation team and would like to be able to do this for infield teams. Unfortunately we cannot get this to work and need some help please. The instructions say that "if you cannot find the SD card you need to verify that "Show advanced devices" is checked in "Settings"". No such option exists. We cannot see the SD card connected to the phone, in order to then select the images to upload directly to Dropbox in the app. We do not want the images to upload from the SD card to the phone. This we can easily do already. We also do not want to upload to the phone and from the phone to Dropbox. The instructions tell everyone that direct SD card to Dropbox upload is possible. However, is this possible (as Dropbox claim it is), and if so how please? Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has the answer. Hi there, I’m hoping someone can help me out as I can’t figure out why certain photos are being saved multiple times when I upload them. I upload from my iPhone and in my most recent upload, there were 27 photos in my camera roll that I uploaded and the total that ended up in the Dropbox folder was double that….. 54. It seems to be saving every photo as a png AND a jpg….? Please help. Thank you!67Views1like4CommentsMy camera uploads stopped uploading new files on my iPhone.
Until May 18, all the photos I take with my iPhone (iOS 18.1.1) were automatically sync'd into my Dropbox Camera Uploads folder. Since then, the new images are not going into the folder. My phone is fully charged, on strong wifi, and I haven't changed any settings. How do I get it to continue uploading photos to the Camera Uploads Dropbox folder?77Views0likes3CommentsCan we have a "scan document" option when long pressing the Dropbox icon on iOS?
Hello, Wouldn't be a great idea for Dropbox to include the "Scan document" option in the menu showing up when pressing the app icon (iOS) like for Apple's Notes app ? I can send you a screen capture. Just my 2 cents. Regards. Robert Lespérance22Views0likes1CommentWhy is the camera upload feature on iOS slow in backing up the photos to my account?
Hi!!! I have just installed the app and opened an account (yesterday) to create storage for my phone photos so I can make room on my phone. I have automatic uploads switched on and there are over 13,000 photos and videos on my phone. I am curious how long it should take for the process to complete transfer from phone to app? The “backing up” action happened non stop for two hours yesterday morning and when I opened the app again this morning, it is showing as still underway - “backing up…….. 10894” - the number goes up and down. I’m trying to figure out how it works and when it will be safe for me to remove the photos from my phone so I can make space to update iOS etc. I have done some random “audits” and found a number of photos from, for example, July 2023, which haven’t transferred over to the app. Appreciate any advice, thanks!!34Views0likes4CommentsFiles are visible on Dropbox on my phone, but not visible on Dropbox on my laptop.
I've uploaded photos/videos/files from my phone to dropbox for years. I rely on this for work. In the last, say month, when I try to upload anything from my phone to dropbox, the files are visible on dropbox on my mobile, but they are not visible on the same dropbox account on my computer. This is extremely frustrating as I pay for this service and it's suddenly not working. What can I do ?27Views0likes1Comment
