Hi Dropbox everyone! I'm moving from Adobe Creative Suite to Affinity apps (Photo, Designer and Publisher), and since I use Dropbox to seamlessly sync Affinity files between my iPad and Mac versions, it would be great to be able to view those files online too, just like in the Adobe apps. I used to use the review option a lot with clients and I really miss that with Affinity files as you can't preview them. For now, I had to go back to the old way of exporting a .jpeg/.png or .pdf and uploading it to access the review. I don't know if putting this into practice is up to you or if it depends on something from Affinity, but since they already use synchronization and it's a suite that has been growing a lot among freelancers, this feature would help a lot. Thanks!16Views0likes0CommentsI cannot locate the "share" button on the website when hovering over a folder
I have been away from Dropbox for a while, but need to start using again to share photo folders. I have uploaded photos in folders to Dropbox, and when I want to share them, there is no "box" that appears to click on (used to be located next to the file when the file is clicked or hoovered over) that would say "share". I'm not finding this problem in researching proplem issues. Help!!28Views0likes1CommentCreating a folder where people can upload anonymously
Hi everyone, Does anyone know if it’s possible to create a publicly accessible folder where people can upload content - without needing to join the folder or reveal their names to others? I think Keinemusik do this after their gigs Thanks in advance!13Views0likes1CommentI can't share a file, my sharing activity has been suspended
Hello, After years of not using my Dropbox account I logged in and when I tried to share a file I was greeted with: Error in call to API function 2 sharing create shared link with settings: We’ve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropbox’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You41Views0likes3CommentsExtremely slow uploads using browser
Hey there. I currently use Dropbox for sharing files and upload my files mostly using the desktop app, which uses my full internet connection of 1Gbps, usually easy and no errors. My main issue: Some of my peers also use dropbox and will send me upload requests and vice/versa. These apparently can only be done through a browser, at least I haven't found a way to use the app yet, which takes absolutely ages. I've tried using different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera) or different machines (Win11, Mac and a linux distro) and it will not change how fast it goes. Also this connection is frequently dropped and the uploader shows as if all the files are uploaded, but when checking we see that some files are missing, sometimes a lot, sometimes a few. Is there a way to use the desktop app to share files with someone else's dropbox link? If not, is there are way to make the browser upload faster? I use a few other services that require browser uploading (WeTransfer, Vimeo, Youtube, Pixieset, GoogleDrive) and Dropbox is the only one that is slow. I just did a test of uploading 700 raw photos and it took the desktop app a little over 3 minutes while the browser still has over 45 minutes to go. Thanks anyone for the help, I couldn't find anything anywhere about this, hopefully is fixable!3.4KViews0likes27CommentsMy desktop app is up to date, but other users can't see my updates.

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my Dropbox account. I recently integrated Dropbox with Make (formerly Integromat) to automate the upload of invoice PDFs (from Zoho Invoices) into a Dropbox folder. The upload process worked fine, but in the following module to generate a shared link , I received this error: [409] banned_member/.. We have suspended your sharing activity due to a violation of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, as well as the Dropbox Terms of Service or Services Agreement. Additionally, when I try to manually share files from my account via the web interface, I get the message: “Sharing could not be completed – We have interrupted the sharing of your files.” To my knowledge, my usage has been very limited and involved only standard file types such as PDFs, images, and documents. I’m unsure if this restriction occurred as a result of the Make integration or prior to that. Could someone from Dropbox Support please clarify the cause of this restriction and how I can resolve it? Please feel free to email me if you need further details. Thank you in advance for your assistance.45Views0likes1CommentMore efficient method to share/unshare folders/files
Reviving this closed suggestion from two years ago. The current method of sharing folders is painfully slow, especially if you have a group of users where only certain users get access to certain folders. You have to go person-by-person to add, delete or change the type of access. Each time you submit, it takes several seconds to update one user. It is especially cumbersome when the members change frequently (people leave/join a group.) I suggest a "bulk" or "batch" method of changing sharing of folders using checkboxes or buttons. When you click on the share icon for a folder, it would bring up a popup window showing all existing share members, their options, and the ability to change attributes, and add new members. Here's a sample view of the window. The same technique can be used for files too.78Views1like2Comments"We've interrupted your sharing activity" error when trying to share
I'm trying to share a folder and keep getting the error message: "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity. For details or to contact support, read our help centre article." I've read the article but it's not helpful for next steps because I have no idea which of the issues is causing this error message. I'm on a basic plan so I can't contact support. Any ideas on how I can sort this??25Views0likes1Comment"We’ve interrupted your sharing activity." How can I resolve this error?
I cannot share my files anymore. When attempting to I am getting this message below "We’ve interrupted your sharing activity. For details or to contact support, read our help centre article." I have read the help centre article but am none the wiser. Is there anyone here from Dropbox that can help as customer support is only available to premium members. Any help would be appreciated, thanks44Views0likes8Comments
