Hello, most of the files I uploaded to a Dropbox account (around 2021) was done when my account was associated with an email that I no longer have access to. I do have a few files in a separate Dropbox account associated with my current, permanent email, but most are in the original account. I'm unable to log into the original account because it sends the code to the non-accessible email. It would be great to be able to link my original Dropbox account to either my current email address, and/or my cell phone number. Thank you for your assistance.25Views0likes2CommentsI received an email that the content shared with me, will be permanently deleted. Can I recover them?
I got this message via email Some content currently shared with you that’s owned by the xxx team on Dropbox will be permanently deleted i don't recall being part of a Dropbox team and this folder was owned by me, not anyone else. looking up in my account avatar, i am not a member of any team. i have no idea why i got this email, but now I'm missing a very important folder and i cant find a way to retrieve it. Dropbox allegedly has the option of retrieving deleted files within 30 days less than 2 weeks have passed since receiving this mysterious email but the files are not in the deleted files folder....!!!! and i cant find a way to contact anyone in Dropbox support to sort this out. Hello! This morning I received a strange email from noreply@mail.hellosign.com and it was for a signature for a subscription for Geek $quad(?). It's $399 USD and I have no idea what this service would be for. I Googled the "customer support team" phone number and it came back as potentially being for an escort service in Florida. I checked my bank accounts, Paypal and Venmo, and don't see any pending charges. The signature request is also from an email and name I do not recognize and it appears they're a student at an Italian university(their email may have been hacked I'm guessing). So yeah, definitely not convinced this is a legit charge, but I can't lose $399 dollars either, so I guess I'm trying to see if this legit, or just spam. The fact that it was sent from a legitimate Dropbox email gives me pause. No, I did not click the links, but when I hover my cursor over the links in Chrome, I can see the URLs are for official Dropbox services. I called Geek Squad, just to confirm that there is no account in my name. I'm not sure if there's a specific way to contact Dropbox directly about this, or if this is the appropriate method. Thanks to anyone for offering help! [Removed as per Community Guidelines]Solved3.8KViews2likes6CommentsIs it possible to retrieve or recover a very old Dropbox account?

Do I need to change it?
I have a large paid personal Dropbox which backs up all my PC personal files, and from which I access files from my phone and iPad, and sometimes share files with other people. I set it up with an email as the username, and that email will be discontinued soon, when I change Internet providers. I've changed the email in my Dropbox account, but I can't see how to change the username. Do I need to? That is, will my Dropbox still work when the email is no longer active?24Views0likes1CommentThe code is sent to an inactive email address and I can't enter my Dropbox account.
My dropbox account was set up with an email address that is now obsolete. I can't sign in because the authentication is being sent to the obsolete email address. I know the files are all there because I can get to individual folders via links that I have previous sent out. What do I do?36Views0likes2CommentsHow can I change the email on my account?

I recently applied for a job as a Frontend Software Engineer at Dropbox, but I got an email saying the following: "Hi, Thank you for your interest in the Frontend Product Software Engineer, Design Systems position at Dropbox! As a Virtual First company, Dropbox’s location strategy is focused on distributing our workforce globally. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to hire for Frontend Product Software Engineer, Design Systems in your location and are not able to move forward with your candidacy at this time. Talent Acquisition Team at Dropbox" What I don't understand is that I am born and I live in The Netherlands and the job is in Poland. So, as an EU citizen I am eligible for this job. Unfortunately I cannot reply to the email because the sender is no-reply@dropbox.com. I would like to get more information on this. Is it possible that there is a mistake? Can I get in touch with someone who can tell me more about this? I look forward to hearing from you. P.S. I apologize for posting it here, but I really don't know where else to get in touch. I really want this job!Solved50Views0likes2Comments
