Dropbox not showing jpg or png preview thumbnails in Windows Explorer
Hi all. My company uses Dropbox to store all files. With windows 11, the desktop Dropbox app will not immediately show jpg or png images on the preview pane. Yes. I have it checked to show previews. I can see the preview for other apps like Corel Draw and acrobat. The preview will eventually show if I click on a different file and then go back to the JPG, but that's not an efficient way to work. I will also note, the issue only seems to be with the preview pane. If I use some of the other view presets, I can see the preview. For example, with the icon view setting, the image preview will show up. Does anyone have some fixes other then deleting the app? It's becoming quite an irritating issue. It worked with other window version, but since 11, is where I started noticing it more and more. And it's only with Dropbox. If I view files stored on my computer, I can see the preview in the preview pane. So I'm confused to why I can see Corel Draw, Acrobat, etc, but not JPG and PNGs when using Dropbox. And it's only with certain view presets. So is it file explorer or Dropbox?

Files are available offline, stored on a second hard drive
Thank you for solutions to try (not the back and forth questions ;) )

Hi signShop, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are the files that you're trying to preview in Explorer marked as available locally, or online-only?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay, my apologies for the late reply! All the files have a green check-mark.

Thanks for the info. Could you try marking some of these image files as online-only, to see if the preview pane works then?
