Change the modified date
Is there a way where I can alter the modified date of the file uploaded? I want to back date a certain files uploaded into my account.
Thanks.
Dropbox does not have any ability to change the time and date stamps of your files. You'll either need to use the options available in your operating system, or a third-party utility that allows you change them.

Hi Dave,
I don't mean the version of the file. since my files only have one version.
I want to back date the date of file when it was uploaded.Ex. I've uploaded a file on Dec 01, 2014, I want to change it to Sept 01. 2014. Is this possible?

Hi this doesn't work with the newly updated version. Is there still a way that I can back date my files to a certain date.

Anthony U: it works on all versions of the PC app.
However on close inspection of the original request I realized Vlad B is talking about the date the file was uploaded (which is set server side and cant be fooled with). I thought he was meaning the DATE on the files datetime stamp.
To correct the cloud file to the datetime stamp on the file, you remove the file locally, then place it back into dropbox. The server upload time however cant be adjusted. Its the server setting that!
