When I upload files to Dropbox the order of the words in the file names is changed
When I upload files to Dropbox, the order of the words in the file names keep being changed.
For instance, John Smith.jpg becomes Smith John.jpg and 12 John Smith.jpg becomes 12 Smith John.jpg. The...

If you don't put your name in the filename yourself, your name as entered during the upload will be appended to whatever file name you gave it. If you put your name in the filename yourself, then this shifting of the words will occur as Dropbox tries to move your name to the end.

Is this while using the File Request feature to upload files to other people? If so, know that your name will always be appended to the filename of the files you upload. If you're putting your name in the filename yourself, that might cause some weirdness when Dropbox tries to append your name during the upload.

Yes, I am requested to upload my video auditions by different casting teams. They normally ask me to name my video audition with my name and role or something similar. So I can't avoid not putting my name there. If I don't log in so Dropbox doesn't know my name, do you think this problem will not happen?

Have you tried uploading through an incognito window while not logged into any Dropbox account to see how it goes myowneva?

Thank you for the suggestion Walter. Just tried through an incognito window but it asked my name and email address to put before sending, which I did, and the same problem happened again. So I uploaded the same file again, putting just an initial, instead of my full name, and my initials are appended to the file name I have given to the file. That is also annoying because casting directors are very strict with how to title videos.
