I don't know why my Word file hasn't synced the previous versions
I have been working on a Word doc all weekend, saving with command+S all the time, and on the third day, I dragged a bunch of photos into word and the whole doc messed up. Undoing wouldn't fix the problem: text was missing and photos were all blank - document useless. So I exited without saving and logged into Dropbox online. Version History said it had 5 versions from 4:39pm to 4:32pm, (it's currently 2:49pm here in Australia so even if this is American time it is wrong because they are behind us...) And where are all the other versions of the doc? The saves I made yesterday and the day before all had importent info. The five versions here seem to be days old - though they purport to be from today. What is going on?Weeks of Dropbox files are gone. Can I restore them somehow?
HELP! All our Dropbox files from May annd June are gone. We have checked through the app and online and the most recent files available are from the last week of April. This is catastrophic — my wife and I have used shared files in Dropbox for years and years to track bills, taxes and other critical functions. This has never happened before. If anyone can help, please, I ask for you to chime in, thank you.
Missing recent folders with new laptop after using Time Machine.
I've had a dropbox basic (free) account for years. I got a new Macbook this weekend and backed everything up via Time Machine, but did not restore from TM because there was a lot of junk on the old machine. However - after re-installing Dropbox (and using Dropbox on the web) - I'm missing a few vital folders. Does Dropbox automatically delete folders if you are over the space limits? I never received notification of such. From going through the forum it seems perhaps even if you exceed the space limits, files/folders are saved locally? But when I tried to restore Dropbox from Time Machine on the new laptop, the folders are still missing. I assume i could see them on the old machine because they were preserved locally, but when I got a new computer, they are now gone? is there ANY way to retrieve them? Some important stuff was there. Thank you.
Transferred files show as 0kB and don't open.
My account was over the basic storage space so I downloaded all my files to an external drive. I see that all folders and files names have been transferred but literally NOT one file opens because they contain "zero bytes". I was on 2TB trial and more than willing to pay to recover! PLEASE HELP!!!

This issue was posted here like five years ago by a different user and the fix worked for them but I've encountered the issue now and the fix isn't working. Basically, I've got a new Mac, synced all my files from my old Mac but they're mostly showing up as Zero Bytes and they're not openable. I tried going to my preferences->Account->holding down the alt/option key and clicking "Fix Permissions". It prompts me for my computer password, I enter it, it seems to work but doesn't. So I do it again, then I receive the error message in Dropbox: "Dropbox was unable to fix permissions in your Dropbox. Please contact support if the problem persists." I'm on the basic plan, so I don't have access to proper support (bad show, guys) so I'm hoping someone can help.

Cannot find files I thought I'd been saving to Dropbox on my old computer which won't let me in. Had to buy a new computer; on it now but when I login to Dropbox, I don't find my files. I was using OneDrive before, on my old computer. Is that the problem, or likely something else? I also understand that there are two versions, the web and the app? I tried the web, and nothing is there. Help! I need my word processing files back! Those are long novels, one in progress!
