Yesterday (05/12/20225) I started the Dropbox professional subscription trial. I had the free subscription prior to yesterday's move to the professional subscription. When using the Dropbox MS Exchange App to save an email attachment I'm getting the following error message: "Something went wrong. Please reload the add-in." However, I'm having no problem using the Dropbox MS Exchange App to share a file to an email that I'm creating. I'd like to be able to use Dropbox MS Exchange App to save an email attachment. Any suggestions to remedy this issue would be much appreciated.82Views0likes15CommentsI can no longer open my Microsoft files via my Android mobile app. They throw all sorts of errors.
Please help, I am in a HUGE panic. As of this morning, my Android Microsoft mobile apps no longer open my more than 1000 Dropbox files. I cannot save a newly created Microsoft file to Dropbox either. I have always been able to open and save my Dropbox files in the Android Microsoft apps (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel , etc) on my Pixel 8. I can no longer open files. Here's the message I get when I try to open a Dropbox file from within Microsoft Word: "Can't open file. [file name] is stored in an unsupported server location." If I try to open a file from within Dropbox, I get an error message that reads, "Can't complete task. Something went wrong. Please try again." I was initially able to open files within M365 Copilot, but I just started receiving the same message and I can't view any of my files. When I tried to connect a different Dropbox account, I received a message that said, "Access blocked: dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies." Please note that the apps are all updated. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps in addition to restarting my phone. Furthermore, my Pixel device is properly linked to my Dropbox account PLEASE HELP!!208Views0likes27CommentsFile Deletion via VBA so that I can stop the relevant Dropbox prompt when deleting files.
Trying to program around an annoyance. I am using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) with Microsoft Access to work with files, our team will generate reports and then put them in shared folders on Dropbox automatically for specific users to review. Once the user has processed the document, we can delete them I notice that in File Explorer when we delete files from a shared Dropbox folder, it always asks if we want to delete it from everyone or just my computer. Is there a way when I do this via VBA to not have that message pop up as we will be working with hundreds of report files, many which will get deleted or replaced. Having to constantly click the message can make my users very annoyed.43Views0likes6CommentsI'm no longer able to edit documents in Word/Excel on iOS
I’m using a basic account on an iPad mini and have had no problems over the years opening and editing documents in word and excel. I recently switched to the newest model (7 with iOS 18.3.2), updated Dropbox, word and excel, restarted the tablet and am continuously being asked to activate Microsoft 365 to edit documents. I’ve tried just entering my Hotmail info which has worked in the past but it says subscription not found. My Dropbox account is showing in word on the left hand side as an other storage option and I can view and open all of my documents but can’t edit them. How can I fix this?125Views0likes21CommentsAccess Blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google policies.
Hi I am trying to open an Excel workbook via Dropbox on my S24 Ultra so that it will save directly to it. I go through the log in process for Dropbox in Excel and I'm getting a message saying "Access blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies". I've tried add Dropbox directly in the app and I get the same message. Please help!131Views0likes15CommentsThe Dropbox plug in for Outlook remains greyed out, and content doesn't appear.
I have a new laptop on Win11 and I added the Dropbox plug-in for Outlook. But it remains greyed out and the folder that should appear on the left folder navigation is missing. I installed the local app and that seems to be working fine. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, fully updated windows, the laptop, and the applications. Nothing seems to work.. I had wondered if it was due to my drop box being personal or if there was another issue. It was working correctly on my old system. I'm having trouble getting Microsoft Office Online to load properly. When I open a *.docx document as the preview and choose "Open with Word for Web" my browser opens a new tab and the loads the same *.docx file in the preview mode. If I go to the same dropdown and click "Open with Word for Web", it opens yet another tab that also ends up being the same preview folder. The Word for Web loads properly if I use the DropBox browser interface to create a new document. However when I close it, I am back to the original situation where if I try to open it with Word for Web it only loads a new tab in the preview view. Can somebody help me get this working again? This situation started suddenly and is new to me.Solved1.4KViews0likes12CommentsMicrosoft Teams integration loses login connection every other day
The new Microsoft Teams integration is great; we can now open shared links directly on the Desktop via the native app, which is a great time saver. Only bug for the integration is that users have to login to Dropbox via Teams every other day. It loses the login authorization and the 'open file in app' function is then not available anymore. Users need to login everyday in to Dropbox via Teams to make it work again.112Views0likes4CommentsCan’t edit Dropbox files in Excel anymore. Get an error about the file not being able to open.
I’ve always been able to open an Excel file in Dropbox to edit it. It was very simple…click the file, click Open In, choose Excel, make my edits, click “return to Dropbox”, refresh, and the file now had my edits. Now, however, when I click on Open In, choose Excel, I get a message that says “sorry, something went wrong and the file can’t be opened”. Super frustrating. I’ve signed out and back in, unlinked and relinked Excel Online on the actual Dropbox website, not the app. Have searched Dropbox help. I have a Microsoft 365 account, so I’ve also tried logging in and out of it. I’ve gone through setting on both applications, but no matter what I do, I no longer am able to edit this file, which means I have to upload and replace the file whenever I need to make changes. The file is shared, but I need to share it. Please help.Solved124Views0likes2Comments
