I cannot open Excel files on my iPad for the last few weeks. I get the error message: "Can't open file. Sorry, something went wrong and [document] can't open. The error doesn't happen on my iPhone or Desktop; only the Microsoft Excel files seem affected. I'm up to date with iPad software and Dropbox app. I would appreciate help.127Views0likes14CommentsI can no longer open my Microsoft files via my Android mobile app. They throw all sorts of errors.
Please help, I am in a HUGE panic. As of this morning, my Android Microsoft mobile apps no longer open my more than 1000 Dropbox files. I cannot save a newly created Microsoft file to Dropbox either. I have always been able to open and save my Dropbox files in the Android Microsoft apps (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel , etc) on my Pixel 8. I can no longer open files. Here's the message I get when I try to open a Dropbox file from within Microsoft Word: "Can't open file. [file name] is stored in an unsupported server location." If I try to open a file from within Dropbox, I get an error message that reads, "Can't complete task. Something went wrong. Please try again." I was initially able to open files within M365 Copilot, but I just started receiving the same message and I can't view any of my files. When I tried to connect a different Dropbox account, I received a message that said, "Access blocked: dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies." Please note that the apps are all updated. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps in addition to restarting my phone. Furthermore, my Pixel device is properly linked to my Dropbox account PLEASE HELP!!220Views0likes27CommentsBring back the Mailbox app
Even if you don't change anything about it, it'll still be better than any email app/site that's available now in 2025. It was a mistake to kill the app. Make it independent like Protonmail, i.e. not reliant on Gmail. Steve Jobs said you are just a feature. Even in 2025, he is still right. Email is not going anywhere. It's time for Dropbox's solution to it. And trying to kill it was not the solution.50Views0likes2CommentsI can't edit my Paper docs on the Android app after the migration
After the last changing on the Dropbox paper App I can no more continue to work with my files on the phone . I want to migrate the files to an other App . When I open them in the Dropbox folder of migrated files it's impossible to open them . They say you can open the files only from a computer . I need to use the files on android. Is that a possibility to convert them on MD or txt or word files? I feel it's not fair enough to block the files .45Views0likes3CommentsUnable to open Excel files on Android Dropbox mobile app - Office login loop
Hi, I have a free dropbox account and have used it for years to store a few basic excel spreadsheets that I use daily. I have a paid Microsoft 365 account that I use on my android phone and lenovo laptop. For some reason the last few days, I am unable to open my dropbox excel spreadsheets on my phone. When I try to open the spreadsheet I get a log in page saying "Log in or sign up to Dropbox to link with Microsoft Office Integration". I log in using my dropbox user and pw and it just sends me to my onedrive. I have tried deleting the dropbox and 365 apps on my phone and re installing and logging in. I have tried to open the dropbox files by going into excel first and then trying to open the dropbox spreadsheet. Just always sends me to the log in page. It all works fine on my laptop, and after saving, my dropbox android app shows the newly updated spreadsheet. Dont know what has happened. Please help.8.5KViews4likes75CommentsDo you access your Dropbox content on other apps outside of the Dropbox app? Feedback appreciated!
Hi everyone, My name is Emily, a Product Manager on the Dropbox Mobile app team and I am here because I wanted to reach out to the community to learn about how you access your Dropbox content outside the Dropbox app. We are planning to make some improvements to the way Dropbox integrates with other apps and want to hear your feedback. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started: What apps do you use to access your Dropbox content (outside of Dropbox)? What types of devices do you use them on? (iOS, Android, tablet, etc) How often do you use these apps? (daily, weekly, monthly) What works about this set up? What doesn’t? Is there anything you‘d like to see improved from the Dropbox side? We understand that everyone's experience may differ, so we welcome all types of feedback, positive or negative. We're committed to continuously improving our product so your feedback will help us make it better. Thank you in advance for your time and input. We're excited to hear what you have to say! I use the Dropbox app on my iphone. I used to be able to open excel files in excel by using “open with - excel”. But now it sends me to a screen saying Microsoft Integration wants permission. I hit the Allow button (the only other option available is “learn more”) and it just takes me back to the list of files in Dropbox. I can never get past that. I used to be able to open them from the Excel app as well, but not now. What has changed and what can I do?Solved12KViews0likes32Comments
