Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my Dropbox account. I recently integrated Dropbox with Make (formerly Integromat) to automate the upload of invoice PDFs (from Zoho Invoices) into a Dropbox folder. The upload process worked fine, but in the following module to generate a shared link , I received this error: [409] banned_member/.. We have suspended your sharing activity due to a violation of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, as well as the Dropbox Terms of Service or Services Agreement. Additionally, when I try to manually share files from my account via the web interface, I get the message: āSharing could not be completed ā We have interrupted the sharing of your files.ā To my knowledge, my usage has been very limited and involved only standard file types such as PDFs, images, and documents. Iām unsure if this restriction occurred as a result of the Make integration or prior to that. Could someone from Dropbox Support please clarify the cause of this restriction and how I can resolve it? Please feel free to email me if you need further details. Thank you in advance for your assistance.20Views0likes1CommentCan't share files because of violation of Terms of Service error
Hi I have had dropbox on my computer for years now although I have not been using it for quite some time. I recently tried to share a new folder and got the message: "Weāve suspended your sharing activity because of a violation of Dropboxās Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and Terms of Service or Services Agreement." I have no idea which of the terms I may have violated or how to fix it. The chatbot wasn't very helpful either. Dropbox still works on my computer and I can see all my storage on the website but I'm just not able to share any files or folders. I would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue.Solved3.2KViews0likes17Comments"Couldnāt complete share" error when trying to share files
How do I fix this issue? I cannot share any content. Couldnāt complete share. Weāve interrupted your sharing activity. There is no way to contact support, and the error message offers no help as to why sharing is blocked and how I can fix it?33Views0likes2CommentsUploading new version of files and keeping the same file links
It would be really helpful if Dropbox offered an Upload New Version option. Both Google Drive and Box have this feature, and it makes file management much smoother. In Google Drive, you can right-click a file, go to File information, Manage versions, and then upload a new version while keeping the same file link. In Box, itās even simpler, you just right-click the file and select Upload New Version directly from the menu. Having this functionality in Dropbox would allow us to update files without breaking the shared link, which is essential for maintaining consistency when collaborating with teams or external partners.51Views1like6CommentsMy ability to share files is paused - how can I resume sharing files?
