I use clip studio paint for work and I need to be able to see the thumbnails for the files to navigate them quickly. By default windows allows me to do this and it has been that way for years, as well as when looking at them in the file explorer for the program. Some big update went out for Dropbox recently, and how SPECIFICALLY in the dropbox folders I can no longer see my thumbnails. They are not online-only. I have triple checked. They are simply not showing. When I paste them onto my desktop, lo and behold they show again. This is entirely on the fault of the recent Dropbox update and I don't know how to fix it. It has disrupted my workflow and has be looking into new backup options when I've been using Dropbox for almost 15 years. Can someone please help?363Views2likes29CommentsError opening and editing any file saved in a shared folder.

I recently had to change my email address. Trying to adapt that in my dropbox account I accidentaly created me a second drop-box account. After finding out about my mistake I took a second attempt and then the email address change worked. But: Due to that prior procedure I had ended up having now TWO dropbox folders in my Windows box's home directory. After carefully figuring out which one is the correct/active folder I deleted the other unused/unwanted folder (via Window's right-click --> Delete). The folder disappeared from my home directory but turned into a zombie. I.e. it now sits in my recycle bin (still showing the dropbox icon) and seems to be undeletable, i.e. even having emptied my trash now multiple times that folder still sits in there and doesn't go away. How can one completely remove a Dropbox folder deleted from the Windows file system?Solved149Views0likes12CommentsMy KiCAD files keep being marked as read-only and I can't edit them on the Windows desktop app.
I have a KiCAD project stored in my Dropbox and am actively editing it. I've never had issues with this arrangement before but suddenly opening some files as part of the larger KiCAD project inform me that they cannot be edited because the file is marked Read Only. In Windows explorer I go and uncheck the entire folder from being made Read Only, but then immediately check properties again and Dropbox immediately remarks it Read Only. I imagine this may impact similar types of applications with multiple files being opened and edited as part of a larger project. How can I stop Dropbox from marking this project read only? Is my only option to move it out of Dropbox and then lose backup capability?101Views0likes5CommentsI cannot rename a file in the Dropbox folder
Good Morning Everyone hope someone help me. We use the dropbox from desktop file. If I tried to re-name the file in the desktop, it doesn't let me change longer ( It used to be okay). However, if I re-named the file in the Dropbox Website, it let me change the name longer. ( it automatically changed the name in my desktop file too) Then, I cannot open the file from the desktop until I rename to shorter or copy to additional file to rename shorter. I want to rename the file in the desktop and open it without rename to shorter. Can anyone help me to fix the issue?6.6KViews3likes9CommentsHow can I delete the wrong Dropbox account from logging in?
I accidentally signed in with a different email address and now every time I try to log-in it does it with that email address, on my computer. I'd like to delete this email address/ account - so it will hopefully open with the email address I've always used. (Computer did some massive "upgrade" for outlook and caused all of this.) I'm not sure if it's a recent addition or if I simply didn't notice it before, but recently, at the bottom of the open "Recycle Bin" on Windows, it has a bar along the bottom that says "View your recycle bin for: Dropbox", with 'Dropbox' a link that opens my Dropbox account in the browser. Is there any way to turn this off? It's not a useful feature for me, and it takes up screen space that could be used for displaying more of the Recycle Bin contents. Thanks.Solved3.2KViews3likes19CommentsMoving files out of Dropbox defaults to copy except inside Dropbox
When I move files out of Dropbox to another folder on my computer, they are only copied, but not moved. When I move files between Dropbox folders, they do move. I am using Windows 10. This is a recent development, not sure if related to Windows update.38Views0likes1CommentWindows search no longer working after latest Dropbox update
