I am facing the 2 factor authentication by SMS error. The text code could not be sent. Not sure what happened. Yesterday I was still able to receive the code via sms and access normally but can't now and there is no other option to verify because i can't now access the account setting Could anyone please kindly provide me the recommendation? or Is this just the dropbox system error that we need to wait?Solved221Views2likes8CommentsI'm being asked for a code that's sent to my old email address, so I can't enter my Dropbox account.
Hello, most of the files I uploaded to a Dropbox account (around 2021) was done when my account was associated with an email that I no longer have access to. I do have a few files in a separate Dropbox account associated with my current, permanent email, but most are in the original account. I'm unable to log into the original account because it sends the code to the non-accessible email. It would be great to be able to link my original Dropbox account to either my current email address, and/or my cell phone number. Thank you for your assistance.26Views0likes2Comments"Two-factor authentication text message couldn't be sent" error

Good afternoon, I have my Dropbox linked to my old college email. This email I no longer have access to. The school only allows current students to access their school email account. Therefore, I know my email and password for Dropbox but when I log in the 6digit security code gets sent to my linked school email, which I no longer have access to and therefore can’t get access to my Dropbox. Can I switch where the access code gets delivered such as my phone number that’s on file or another email. Can I please speak to someone about authenticating my identity so I can access my account and then I can switch the email linked to it. I have too many files I need in this account for it to just not be able to access. thank you.41Views0likes1CommentI'm having trouble accessing my account, since I don't receive the 2FA code.
I have a separate Dropbox account linked to my work email, which colleagues occasionally use to share folders and files. While I previously accessed these files through that account, I'm currently unable to regain access. All my attempts, including password reset links (which I receive in my work email), have failed because the subsequent MFA codes are not delivered. I would be okay with deletion of my Dropbox account linked to my work email, just to make things work again, as I only use it to see files shared by others. Is it possible to regain access to this dropbox account?92Views0likes8CommentsHow can I opt out of 2 factor authentication?
Please advise how to opt of multi-layer security, such as 2 Factor Authentication? I am a private user and have changed telelphone numbers, no longer have the old one which you are likely sending codes to, uselessly. Took me an hour of reading your multiple instructive sections, and asking the chatbot to figure out another way in. I do not want 2 factor authentication. Thank you.Solved53Views0likes3CommentsRemove login or sign-up popup when sharing a link.
how do I get rid of this frustrating pop up when sharing a link with a client? We're a paid dropbox business member and I get a tonne of clients telling me they cant access the files because of this popup. Needs to able to be switch this off. I pay to have ability to share files externally so either make it free and keep the pop up, or let me turn it off.
