Sync list: Upload and Download ordering
Currently we can use MacOS finder to request files to be downloaded (right click > make available offline), we can see the progress of individual files (download / upload) in the finder, and the upload in the dropbox app. The download progress is shown only when a file is added to macOS for the first time. (But they are actually not being downloaded when they are stet to online only) We are at the complete mercy of macOS and dropbox regarding download order / priority. We can stop the sync, and I think thats it. It would be very helpful to be able to order / prioritise specific files or folders. When you see something like this: It's very overwhelming especially if you need a file right now... I often end up logging into dropbox web and downloading the file I need into my download folder. I would suggest adding download and upload buttons (where the Your Activity button is), and have a file/folder download / upload list, that the user could then reorder. Your activity shows upload progress and you can use sync next, thats great but when you use dropbox professionally it's not enough. It's also very rarely accurate. The files downloading or uploading get shown while they sync but then disappear.
Full Emoji support in filenames
This idea needs no explanation. Im sure there are a ton of other use cases that can leverage full emoji support. Creating a new idea so the idea can continue to work towards implementation. I realize this is a thorny issue and implementation may be difficult. I feel just because it's difficult doesn't close the "idea" of it being implemented. The whole point of conversation and discussion is to keep speculating on new paths to making it happen!
Add option to remove Dropbox options from context menu
As title mention. It feels like invasive when a program does thing like that in your computer and you have no control over it - I made a cleanup of my context menus and only Dropbox offers no option to remove it. pCloud drive offers it, see picture:
Shared Color Tags / Visual Labels in Shared Folders
It would be extremely useful if color tags or file highlights could be made visible to all collaborators in a shared Dropbox folder. Many teams rely on visual cues for workflow, and this would reduce confusion and improve coordination. Please consider enabling this feature across shared folders — similar to how macOS tags or Google Drive priority labels work.
