Hi! Keep getting an error message and can not any files to load. I do not see any errors on the System Status site and I'm unsure what to do. Below is the error message: "Something went wrong. Don`t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our Help center and forums for help, or head back to home." Sometimes, the error is simply "Something went wrong" with the same dartboard icon. Can someone help? I already tried clearing the cache and using a new browser. In fact, I keep getting an "invalid email" error when I try logging in on a new browser. I can't get the support page to load either to be able to chat support!Solved149Views0likes5CommentsExternal drive support on File Provider (Mac) beyond 500k files limit
Hi, I'm aware that it is possible to sync to an external drive (albeit with the 500k file limitation). I am wondering if there is any immediate plan to remove this 500k files limitation? I am working with lots of small files that can't fit into my internal drive, and I'm unsure about how I can sync my Dropbox to my local computer nicely. Regarding How to find the Dropbox folder on a computer - Dropbox Help Does the Dropbox Desktop App support the adding of multiple "Business" or "Personal" accounts? If so, in the info.json file how does the file differentiate between the multiple accounts of the same type? For example, my current setup of 1 business and 1 personal account on this computer has the following layout in the JSON. If I add a second business or personal account to this computer how will the JSON file change to include the infromation { "business": { "path": "C:\\Users\\adid\\Org Dropbox\\My Name", "host": 99999999923, "is_team": true, "subscription_type": "Business", "root_path": "C:\\Users\\adid\\Org Dropbox" }, "personal": { "path": "C:\\Users\\adid\\Dropbox (Personal)", "host": 99999999987, "is_team": false, "subscription_type": "Basic" } }Solved130Views0likes3CommentsWindows Explorer gets slow when trying to access Dropbox a local folder in my hard drive.
I use dropbox business for my work and found that when I try to access my dropbox folder or files syned in my pc hdd, it gets significantly slow within certain period of time. I synced dropbox file as offline so all my files saved in local hdd and when I access dropbox files through pc app, it is very slow to move and access among files and folders. I tried to reset the dropbox app and even my pc hundred times but it lasts only few days and gets back to slowness.Solved4.3KViews0likes30Comments"Dropbox has encountered problems joining the team and will have to re-sync your files."

Hi I just updated to the MacOS Dropbox BETA on Monterey 12.6.3, and it all seem to be working perfectly, except for a problem with Blender 3D 3.4. Blender seems to use a non standard file manager, maybe part of its cross platform development base, I assume. When I try to access my newly moved dropbox files (ie everything) from inside Blender I cannot get into the root dropbox folder. I can get to it via /users/user/library/cloudstorage but I cannot get further than that. This effects everything involving file diologues: open, save, export, import, linked textures, etc I've tried setting up alias that go directly to points further within the file hierarchy, but they always just lead me to the root folder and stop me there. I can double click on blender files within dropbox in the finder and they open fine, but if I try to save them they can't save back to dropbox. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to fix or get around this? Do I need symlinks rather than aliases, or is there some sort of permission I need to set? As our company admin I am looking for how to manage our files that are uploaded to Dropbox Transfer Is there a way to see all files uploaded from all members? Is there a way to organize the files, my personal ones just show up as a list? Is there a way to create a location to share files publicly with multiple users having access to add? We don't want to allow for sharing out of individuals storage locations or any of our team folders. Any help is appreciated!54Views0likes4CommentsDropbox can't start after I moved hard drive to a new computer.
Hello! I have physically moved my Dropbox hard drive to a new-old computer. I had this hard drive in my main computer, and now moved it to my 2nd home computer and wanted to install Dropbox there. The Dropbox folder is located at G:\Work Dropbox on both computers. I also added a bigger hard drive to my main computer. The idea was to install Dropbox with the same path as the old one, so i don't have to download all the data again, but it will not let me start. My main computer runs Windows 11 and the 2nd computer runs Windows 10.
