Dropbox for teams: Advanced access control based on IP
For enterprise or business using drobox some data we would like to make sure is not leaving the office premises. My suggestion is to add advanced access control that will be based on IP of the request + Folder + user + Access Method (API \ Mobile App \ Desktop \ Web ...) + Action (Delete \ Upload \Update \ Download ) Scenario that it could help: Add a new desktop client that can sync all salary\finance folder only from specific IPs. From web allow only download file from specific folders . No upload to those folders)Ability to modify current folder settings from Admin Content view
When using the Content view in the Admin Console in a team/business plan: The buttons on the right sidebar which include Upload, New folder, and Show deleted files should include the ability to modify the current folder settings and sharing, just as can be done to the folder when looking at it from the parent folder's view. "Move", "Delete", "Manage access", "Download", and "Change sync default" could be made available without having to go back to the parent folder.Team Admin Content view: display folder paths with links to each parent folder
A Team plan Admin can navigate to the Admin console Content view of folders from the regular folder view using the contextual menu "View in admin console". Once in the admin console Content view: There's no link to the containing folder. It would be preferable to have the path to the folder displayed with links to each parent folder: /TeamFolder/Subfolder/Subsubfolder/CurrentFolder The buttons on the right sidebar which include Upload, New folder, and Show deleted files should include the ability to modify the folder settings and sharing, just as can be done to the folder when looking at it from the parent folder's view. Understandable "Move" and "Delete" might not be available here, but "Manage access", "Download", and "Change sync default" could be made available.
Remove login or sign-up popup when sharing a link.
how do I get rid of this frustrating pop up when sharing a link with a client? We're a paid dropbox business member and I get a tonne of clients telling me they cant access the files because of this popup. Needs to able to be switch this off. I pay to have ability to share files externally so either make it free and keep the pop up, or let me turn it off. Team's plan wasn't renewed but the invoice was paid. How can I find my reseller?
I have a teams plan through a 3rd party reseller that has been working for over a year. This morning users are all getting "Your team’s plan wasn’t renewed, so you can only view and download files. Enter new billing info to pick up where you left off." error. This is preventing any modifications of files on the Dropbox files so we're at a stand-still. The reseller isn't showing any issue and as far as they can see everything is fine. I've submitted a ticket with Dropbox but it's been 6+ hours and I haven't heard anything back. The one thing odd is in the admin portal there is no Settings in the left menu bar so I cannot find a way to verify reseller permissions. However as this has been working fine for over a year I don't think anything would have changed, it's just a new month. Any thoughts on why I don't have the settings in my admin portal, I am listed as a Team Admin.Received "Team" renewal notice but I don't have a Dropbox for Teams account
Hi. Anyone know how to contact Dropbox customer service? I don't use the service anymore but I received a renewal notice for a "Dropbox for Teams" subscription. I've NEVER had that. The last time I encountered a billing problem with Dropbox it took six months to resolve.
