Cannot open downloaded files
I have a number of JPG files which show up on my PC in my Dropbox folder but I am unable to open, however if I log onto my account online I can open them there. When I look at the file properties it shows up as 3.85MB but says size on disk as 0 bytes. Is it saying that my download is only a pointer and if so how can I change it. It must be said that this does not apply to all my JPG files only some

I accidentally removed the ribbon in my text file. How can I add it back?
hello, i was editing a text file in dropbox and trying to eliminate the underlines under some text that may not be proper grammar. i went into the settings and misunderstood the option that said something to the effect of remove the ribbon (or something, i can not quite remember). what i did was remove the bar above the keyboard that had the settings and several other options. now it is gone...and i can not seem to find anyway to get to those settings to put it back. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

How can I correct the dates of my files in Dropbox?
Hi, I upload pictures/videos with new dates (not correct) from Linux to dropbox. After update the mtime (old correct dates) in the local disk, I can not find a way to sync the date in dropbox. I tried stop the daemon delete the files from Dropbox and then start the daemon. I found that it remove the local file and had to restore it with the non-correct date. I stopped the daemon and rm -r ~/.dropbox and start again. It just caused indexing again but date didnt change. How can I remove the dropbox folder and make it forgot so after start daemon, it will resync with the correct date. Thanks, Rafi

Allow users to open and edit Google files directly from Dropbox.
Currently, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides created in Dropbox are just shortcuts to files in Google Drive. This adds extra steps and limits what users can do directly from Dropbox. It would be helpful to open and edit Google files from Dropbox itself, just like with Microsoft Office files. This would streamline workflows, improve integration with Google services, and eliminate the need to download, edit, and re-upload files.

Unable to read Word documents. What can I do?
I just tried this and it modified my Dropbox files, but I still get the same error message that the file may have become corrupted and to use text converter. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Editing (correcting) the transcript for an audio file doesn't work on my browser

I can't open my Excel files online. The website keeps loading and freezes.
Hi, I can't open my Excel files any more. Normaly I open them with the Excel for the Web option and work in them. Now it keeps on loading (right under in the screencorner) but it freezes/doesn't open. Has anybody an idea how to solve this?

How can I edit my Microsoft Excel files directly from the desktop app and not the website?
Hello, I am having quite the frustrating issue with my dropbox excel files not displaying on my firefox downloads. They are opening, but seemingly NOT from my desktop app, but rather the dropbox.com website, even though I have the correct folders all linked to my computer. The excel files from my dropbox app was always set to be able to edit, however those coming from dropbox.com have macros and will not let me edit the sheet (and to be clear, I have done everything known to mankind with the trust center settings on excel to try and enable the macros)...I have set select sync files to be 'online only' to help save hard drive space. Thank you in advance!

My file updates were not saved to Dropbox and my computer crashed in the meantime.
My computer crashed, and the files I have been working on all day are not saved. I can see a May 6th version, but nothing from today, even though I recall saving twice. Do you have any idea what can be done?

Can’t get Dropbox to sync real time between Mac-book and iPad
If I make changes to the excel file on my Dropbox account and then go to my ipad and open the file through the Dropbox app, it is an older version. It even says that the file hasn’t been modified for several days. What am I missing? Thanks! C
