Solved

My Android photos won't upload to my Dropbox account and now, I can't sign back in either.

Android phots wont upload to drop box. Keep getting "failed fetching latest photos". Tried logging out and logging back in and now its saying "cant connect to drobox. Make sure your online". I don't understand because I am online and connected to the internet.

  • I deleted the app and reinstalled, and it started working as before.

Hey Fazxc, I’m sorry to hear about this.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you're using the Dropbox mobile app, and not www.dropbox.com on your Android device. Correct?

If yes, were you using our camera uploads feature to add these photos to your Dropbox account, or were you trying to add them manually instead?

As for the other issue you’re having, can you connect to the internet via mobile data (or a different WiFi network), as a test? Do you keep seeing the same error after that?

If you do, and you’re currently on the free Basic plan, I’d like you to go here and make sure you don’t have more than 3 devices linked to your Dropbox account at the moment.

Let me know what you find.

Hi, yes using mobile app on android.

Using automatic camera uploading (which has always worked fine up until now).

I have tried switching off wifi and logging on via mobile data, but still getting "cant connect to drobox. Make sure you're online" error.

Tried different wifi networks and get same error.

Check connected devices and only have 3 devices. Also 3 browsers logged into account.

Thanks for the additional info! If you already have 3 devices linked to your Dropbox account, and you’re on the free Basic plan, then this is most likely the reason why you can’t sign back in.

Can you go back to your Security page online and have a look at the devices that are currently connected? You don’t see your Android device still linked there, correct?
