Expanded capacity reduced

Hello community!

I'm hoping someone can help me fix this error or point me in the right direction.

Many years ago I down loaded Dropbox and shared it with several friends. My account showed an increase in capacity. I haven't reviewed my capacity since that time when the increases were added to my account. Recently, I was given a notice that my storage was almost full so, naturally curious, I looked at the current capacity and it showed a basic 2gb of storage. My questions are, has anyone had this issue and what were the steps for a positive resolution if any.

Please help, I would like to go back to my previous larger capacity.

Sincerely,

P

Are you sure that's not just referring to the space included with your Basic account? Have you looked at your Plan page to see what your actual usage is? Also, your Referrals page will show you any bonus space you've earned, and whether or not it has expired.

I had a similar issue. Was using DB for a PTF file share years ago. Started using it again recently. I added very few files and got a message I was at capacity. I deleted a TON of files and it still says I'm at capacity. Not sure how that can be true......

Could you have a look at what was mentioned in this thread, and specifically what our Community Manager mentioned?

If you still come across any problems after following these steps, let me know!

    Hey,

I have the same issues. The standard plan with 2GB applies to my account plus 16GB auf referrals. Look here.

But I am still getting mails stating my space is over it´s maximum.

Looks like it is not counting the referral earned space... What can I DO?

    Thanks

HI drp4positive, technically, the message isn't stating that your account is overquota.

It is saying that you're getting close to your quota limit and running out of storage, which could result in some files not being synced if you do go overquota on your account.
