I have 2 Dropbox accounts, but can't sign out of the wrong account on my PC

I have 2 basic accounts, with different email addresses, used for different purposes. I have a new PC and downloaded the Dropbox app. Unfortunately, I opened up the wrong dropbox account in the app. I would like the folders from the other account on my File Explorer, however if I try quitting or even uninstalling the app, each time I log back in, the previous wrong account is automatically logged in. How can I forget that previous account, and view it on line only, have have the second account open in the app on my PC? Thanks

Hey Ronnie S - did you upgrade through the website directly or via the app store on a mobile device in the first place?

Have you tried using your email addresses to sign into Dropbox at all?

T_teresa - I have two accounts, one of which is upgraded to 3TB of storage.  I can't remember which account name or email that is under, can you please private message me to help me?

    Deepest thanks

You are second person who has called me Rich on here this week ;-)

I am starting to get a complex! 😂

I subsequently found a post suggesting signing out of the 1st account online and on the PC then start again with the 2nd account, which has worked. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Siburg, thanks for providing these details!

As Rich said, you can sign out of the wrong account from the Dropbox desktop application by following these steps.

You can then sign into the other account on the web as you wish in order to access files from there.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
