On the web, I have gone to a file in the Folders tab, clicked on the ... next to it, and gone to Activity - Version history. I then get an "Error (400). Something went wrong. Don't worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check out our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our Help Center and forums for help, or head back to home." So I'm hear to ask for help. Is there a way to search a folder and have the results show mp3 files by a certain bitrate? In Windows Explorer you can do this by entering into the search field things like bitrate: 24kbps or kind:music bitrate:>127kbps or bitrate:>127kbps When I type any of those search strings into a Dropbox search, it says no results found.Solved47Views0likes3CommentsUnable to delete Paper template
I'm on the migrated new release of Dropbox Paper. I was on the old one when I had created a Paper template. This old template doesn't show up in the web version of the Dropbox Paper and I'm not able to delete it from the web UI. The old template shows up ONLY in the iPhone Dropbox Paper app. NEW templates created from the Web UI don't show up in the "New" menu on the iPhone app. This is a problem as I'm able to create a doc using the OLD template, and unfortunately the template has some sensitive information. Ok, it has been a while since I logged into dropbox. I mostly use the web version and no longer sync. When I login to the account I can't find many files which were previously there. Hi, I can't open my Excel files any more. Normaly I open them with the Excel for the Web option and work in them. Now it keeps on loading (right under in the screencorner) but it freezes/doesn't open. Hello, I am having quite the frustrating issue with my dropbox excel files not displaying on my firefox downloads. They are opening, but seemingly NOT from my desktop app, but rather the dropbox.com website, even though I have the correct folders all linked to my computer. The excel files from my dropbox app was always set to be able to edit, however those coming from dropbox.com have macros and will not let me edit the sheet (and to be clear, I have done everything known to mankind with the trust center settings on excel to try and enable the macros)...I have set select sync files to be 'online only' to help save hard drive space. I have trawled all the articles here and read the Help article from April 2025. I can't beleive a major cloud provider cannot make something as simple as permanently delete...simple. In most articles it says "click deleted items in left sidebar" but this does not exist If I click on a folder I do not get any option to permanently delete If I go to the gear wheel and show deleted files, I can see a deleted file but I cannot permanently delete it. I have been uploading files/folders to my new Dropbox account and have an external hard drive that I've been uploading to Dropbox. I've been doing it slowly, one folder at a time or several files at a time. Yesterday I attempted to upload a file with lots of videos - this was a Photography class with video lessons. It showed that it was going to take a long time, not unexpected, and I let it run all day. Several times, I lost internet connection, once I was back online though, it continued to upload and there didn't seem to be any problems so I disconnected the internet last night, assuming I could reconnect this morning and it would continue uploading my files. The screen that shows files being uploaded in Dropbox was gone and although a majority of the files were uploaded, not all were. When I went to the external hard drive, those files were also missing. As of right now, I don't know if I've lost them permanently. If so, people need to be aware of this, that there is a chance that you will lose files.....I have no way of getting these files back. To know: I was uploading files through Dropbox online, not the Dropbox app on my laptop. I did not want these files to be available offline in the Dropbox app but I did not have that set up that way and can not figure out how to do it although I've tried through many resources. I created a folder with several photos. One is flashing. I cant delete it. Anything I now do results in a message system unresponsive- wait or reload. Waiting doesnt resolve it. I cant delete the flashing photo or the entire folder. Nor create a new folder. I am using the web application.
